Who we are

Casa Trini is a holiday home on Trinidadweg in Buena Vista, Willemstad, Curaçao, rented out by Giani and family. We are responsible for processing your personal data through this website.

What we process and why

• Contact form. Your name, email address, subject, dates and message. We only use them to answer your question. Your message arrives as an email in our Microsoft 365 mailbox.
• WhatsApp, email and phone. If you contact us this way, we use your number or address and your messages to help you before and during your stay.
• Bookings. You book through Lodgify’s booking page. There you enter your name, contact details, travel details and payment details. We use them to handle your booking and for our accounts. Lodgify processes payments with its payment partner; we never see your full card details.
• Car rental. If you reserve a car through the car rental module, we use your details to have the car ready for you. The module runs on a separate service and the car comes from our rental partner, who needs the details for the rental agreement.
• Security. To protect the site against hackers and spam, the server records your IP address and the pages you request.

We never use your details for advertising and we never sell them.

Cookies

This website only uses functional cookies that are needed to make the site work:

• Language (pll_language): remembers whether you view the site in Dutch or English. Kept for 1 year.
• Cookie preference: remembers your choice in the cookie notice, if it is shown.
• Login: only for site administrators.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Lodgify’s booking page and the car rental module may set their own cookies; see their own privacy statements.

Who we share data with

We work with a few parties that process data for us. We only share what is needed:

• Lodgify: bookings and payments.
• Microsoft 365: our email.
• Our hosting provider: the server this website runs on.
• Our car rental partner: only if you rent a car.
• Airbnb and Booking.com: only if you book through them; their privacy statements apply too.

Links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Google Maps take you to those services. What they do with your data is described in their own privacy statements.

How long we keep data

• Questions via the form, email or WhatsApp without a booking: up to 2 years.
• Booking details: as long as the law requires us to keep them for tax purposes.
• Security logs with IP addresses: a few weeks.

Your rights

You can always ask us what data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use or ask for a copy. Email Mail@casatrini.nl; we will reply within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know first and we will sort it out together. You can also file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Security

The website uses a secure connection (https), a firewall and two-step verification for administrators. We make daily backups.

Changes

We may update this statement, for example when the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
